Founded in 1962 by Mr. W.H. (Harold) Grant, PE, W.H. Grant & Associates, Inc., Consulting Engineers offers mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design and engineering analysis services in Arkansas and adjoining states. The firm serves many types of clients, including architectural firms, business owners, public & private organizations, industrial clients, MEP contractors, and the legal community. The firm has completed MEP designs for fire stations, police buildings, city office buildings, jails, rehabilitation centers, school classrooms, gymnasiums, recreational facilities, college dormitories, college campus central plants, industrial dust collection systems, churches, clinics, and surgery centers. The engineering philosophy at W.H. Grant & Associates, Inc. is to design comfortable, energy-efficient, & fiscally responsible buildings with the owners needs in mind.

In 1978 William C. Grant joined his father in the firm as a physicist, mechanical, and electrical designer. He continued in the roles of MEP designer, physicist, engineer, and manager of the firm before completing his ABET accredited degree and subsequent professional engineer licensure. Currently, William C. (Bill) Grant, MS, PE, is President and CEO of W.H. Grant & Associates, Inc. David N. Yarbrough, PE completed an internship as a draftsman at the firm while completing his degree. Later, he returned to join the firm as an Engineer Intern and subsequently a Professional Engineer (PE). William Joseph (Joe) Grant, EI, having previously worked in the firm as an MEP draftsman & designer, recently returned to the firm while working to complete his bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering.

William Joseph (Joe) Grant PE , Principal

Joe has experience in lighting design, MEP drafting, IT, and marketing. He was a draftsman for the company from 1995 – 1999. During his time away from the firm, Joe worked for Pacific Lighting Systems in Seattle, Washington as a Project Quotations and Lighting Designer. Joe then moved to the Washington, D.C. area and was a hard goods buyer for one of the largest ski shops in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Most recently, before returning to the firm, Joe owned a sales agency for a dozen action sports companies. In 2010, Joe returned to work at the firm, and he began attending college at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR). Joe earned his degrees in engineering and mathematics in 2013. Joe is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Arkansas, and he performs mechanical and electrical design for the firm.

David N Yarbrough PE, Principal

Prior to 1998, David worked in the general construction field and has worked either directly or indirectly in the field of HVACR since 1998. He worked as a service technician for companies in Northwest Arkansas before obtaining his HVACR contractor’s license in 2002. Upon relocating to the Little Rock area in 2003, David worked in the HVACR & plumbing fields before returning to college at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) in 2005. David earned his degree in engineering and minor in mathematics in 2008, and he obtained his professional engineering registration (PE) in the State of Arkansas in 2012. He brings to the firm a wealth of hands-on and design experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general construction. In particular, David has experience investigating, analyzing, trouble-shooting, and repairing a wide variety of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. David has been employed by the firm since 2006.

Bill has worked as a UALR Instructor, Graduate Assistant at the University of Notre Dame, Expert witness, Engineering designer, and Consulting Engineer. Bill is licensed as a PE in Arkansas, and he has experience in co-generation, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Bill has completed MEP design on many types of projects, including hospitals, clinics, surgery centers, adult living centers & nursing homes, colleges & universities, churches, industrial buildings, and military institutions.
